Services Capabilities Present Alternative Routes to Market and Complement Teneo’s SD-WAN, Visibility and Digital Experience Monitoring Offerings.
Theale, UK – August 2, 2018 – Teneo, the Work From Anywhere IT services company, today announced the acquisition of UK-based Geode Networks Europe Ltd (Geode), now renamed to Geode Services.
The acquisition brings sophisticated services capabilities and deep network and application expertise, including consultancy, professional services and support services. These capabilities will complement and augment the delivery of Teneo’s SD-WAN, Visibility and Digital Experience Monitoring ‘As-a-Service’ offerings. Teneo will retain the Geode brand to enable future development of alternative routes to market.
As global companies seek lightning-fast ways to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives, never have emerging technologies and flexible service delivery models been more relevant. Analyst IDC predicts that digital transformation spending will hit $1.7T (£1.3T) by 2019 – up 42% from 2017[1].
The move to embrace SD-WAN, the Cloud, and intelligent analytics brings new, more agile advantages and optimised operations to IT teams, but to take quick advantage of these approaches, companies increasingly seek specialist partners that can help them to minimise financial risk and provide supporting skillsets to reinforce in-house capacity.
Acting as a catalyst for change in customer environments, Teneo will continue to seek out new technologies in the areas of networking and security, that elevate customers’ competitive advantage. Combining forces, Geode’s team of consultants and engineers will help drive future service innovation across the Teneo Group, playing a crucial part in research and development and building out the Teneo ‘As a Service’ platform.
Geode already has experience in the SD-WAN market and places a heavy focus on helping customers to identify the root cause of underlying IT performance issues, increase business productivity and improve end user experience. Once integrated, Geode will become Teneo’s service delivery arm.
Piers Carey, CEO of Teneo, commented, “Our customers struggle to provide seamless global IT operations in this ‘always on’, digital and data-driven era and are moving away from the concept of owning and managing technology themselves. Instead, they seek the additional ‘smart person in the room’ to analyse operations on their behalf.”
He added, “Services First is one of our growth strategies and Geode has an excellent reputation for delivering services. Not only that, but their people are exceptionally smart. Their company DNA is a great fit for our business and helps us to provide exactly what our customers are asking us for.” Piers concluded, “Having Geode’s capabilities driving our service delivery arm gives us the opportunity to diversify, and accelerate the way in which we introduce relevant, cutting-edge technologies to our customers, understanding their needs through consultancy and delivering technology ‘as a Service’.”
Nigel Townsend, Director of Geode, stated, “Teneo has a unique structure that provides global reach and fantastic deployment capabilities so this certainly opens up new markets for us geographically. Equally, the exclusive industry partnerships we’ve established at Geode opens up new markets for Teneo.”
Andy de Clerck, Director at Geode, added, “We’re delighted to join the Teneo team; the profound knowledge and experience Geode brings to Teneo unites a world-class pool of technical talent.”
